Have you accumulated strong people management experience with a solid background in either or both electrical and mechanical Maintenance Engineering? If so then we have an Engineering Supervisor role leading a team of 8 multi skilled and hard working engineers at a manufacturer near to Salisbury.

This exciting and rare opportunity pays up to £48500, working Monday to Friday circa 9 to 5 (37.5hours). The company have a lot of automated machinery so experience of maintenance within automation is important. Most important of all is having people management skills to lead and drive processes forwards earning the respect of the loyal maintenance engineers.

The team include a couple of apprentices and several other engineers all having a good mixture of experience levels. They all pull their weight, have a good sense of humour so whoever takes on this role needs to have the right character and drive to succeed in this role.

What do they do? They are a prestige manufacturer based in Southern Wiltshire near to Salisbury. They supply into multiple industries and employ several hundred permanently on site.

What will I do? You'll review and develop maintenance plans, critical and non-critical spares, analyse breakdowns and trends and develop engineering solutions. You'll lead the maintenance engineers ensuring they conform and proactively encourage them to improve processes and systems. You'll use your good communication skills to communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers and internal personnel and add value to the maintenance department operations.

What do I need? Proven people management skills within engineering – this is vital and you will need to earn the respect of their loyal team and hold command. Experience with automated machinery and relevant supporting certification is also very important.
