This is an exciting opportunity to lead a review of the current SEND provision across two local areas, working in co-production with families and a range of professionals to shape the provision that is required to best meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

This is a one year secondment or fixed term role to lead a comprehensive strategic review of the provision for Portsmouth and Southampton children and young people (aged 0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including consideration of the continuum of provision available to meet the range of identified need, as well as the sufficiency of provision going forward.

You will ensure that children and young people and their parents and carers are enabled to fully participate in the process of reviewing the special educational provision available to ensure they have a sense of co-ownership and co-production.
