We are working with a regional top 60 accountancy firm on a Tax & Payroll Department Manager for their Southampton office based near Chandler's Ford. This role would suit someone with all rounded tax experience and comfortable managing staff.

The Southampton office is conveniently located just off of the M27, near Eastleigh, north of Southampton City Centre. There is free parking for all staff and direct bus routes from Eastleigh, Chandler's Ford and Winchester.

About You

• Should be CTA qualified
• At least 4 years practice experience
• Strong academic background
• Looking to join a join a large regional firm
• Experience with all aspects of tax, including both corporate and personal tax
• Demonstrable experience managing workloads
• Technically strong
• Good managerial experience
• First class presentation and communication skills

• Oversee the tax & payroll department
• Supervise the team of 4
• Work closely with the Client Managers
• Plan daily workloads
• Review tax returns
• Ensure cost effective processes
• Instructing junior staff
• Responsible for time management, budget management and billing
