Interview date: 16 June 2017
The University is seeking to appoint an Assistant Complaints and Information Disclosure Officer as part of the Corporate Governance team. The post has a dual purpose – to respond to complaints made by students under the University’s Student Complaints procedure, and to respond to requests for information made under both the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts. This post provides support to ensure the University’s compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of HEI structures and processes, the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts, and the University’s Student Complaint procedure. You will be used to working with staff at all levels both within and external to the University, working to deadlines, taking the initiative and ensuring a high quality service is maintained.
We are looking for someone with excellent administration skills, a sound ability to analyse, criticise and synthesise information. You will be unflappable, have good judgement, and take a calm and measured approach to dealing with situations that can sometimes be challenging. Attention to detail is a key requirement, as is maintaining confidentiality.
Candidates are welcome to contact Helen Hill, Assistant Complaints and Information Disclosure Officer, or Adrian Parry, Director of Corporate Governance.
