The Senior Lecturer in International Relations will take the responsibility of programme co-ordination for BA (Hons) Politics and International Relations and to make the contribution to relevant teaching.

The successful applicant will support the development of International Relations as a key new area of undergraduate student number growth. The role holder will bring significant policy or practical experience in a relevant field of professional international relations. The post holder will also have to lead on networking and partnership with relevant Humanities oriented institutions, for example, the BBC, the British Museum, and or others of a comparable global orientation.

Duties will include the teaching delivery of inter-disciplinary undergraduate modules in international studies areas including for example: international relations, cultural diplomacy, soft-power; sustainable heritage development; international history; contemporary international cultural studies; and/or relevant parts of a humanities oriented international relations curriculum. The successful candidate will understand policy and practical aspects of IR/diplomacy, as well as have experience of project management.
