We are looking for a psychologist to join an enthusiastic sport and exercise psychology team for a full-time post at the University of Chichester within our Institute of Sport. The Institute delivers highly regarded degrees, underpinned by internationally recognised and world leading research alongside cutting edge applied practice and we are looking for someone with the ability to contribute to the area of exercise psychology and physical activity for health.

The successful applicant will have teaching experience in the area of exercise psychology and the post holder will be a key member of the teaching team in a developing capacity within our Sport and Exercise Psychology programmes (BSc and MSc) as well as modules shared across the Institute of Sport (which also houses programmes in coaching, sport and exercise science, sport business and management, and PE teaching training). Evidence of publications in peer review journals, consultancy and delivery or research income generation would be an advantage along with the desire and potential to develop in these areas.

The post holder will foster creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning, using a range of delivery techniques to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students. You must be willing to undertake an PGCert HE teaching qualification if not already an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Informal enquiries are welcomed by Dr Henriette Hogh, Head of Sport and Exercise Psychology and Research Methods via email at H.Hogh@chi.ac.uk.

This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check, which will be undertaken by the University on appointment.

The University of Chichester welcomes applicants from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds as they are currently under represented at this level.

Interview Date: Monday 21 October 2019
